Arise by Any Other Name explores how book-arts and artistic collaborations recontextualize language and stories. Each person has an “idiolect” —Steiner—. To work on a project together, and to experience it, is translation. Arise is a reflection on how every book is constantly changing. You cannot step into the same book twice, but this is what makes books worth reading. Text is static and reproducible; what each of us adds and brings makes it alive.
