Composed on an occasion calling for a defense of letterpress printing in August of 2009, while I was a guest at the American Academy in Rome. Printed on vintage Robert Serpa handmade paper by Peter Koch, Monique Comacchio, Susan Filter, Mark Livingston, Kate van Orden, and Christopher Stinehour. Typeface: Berthold Wolpe’s Pegasus and Albertus typefaces Christopher Stinehour designed the ornament and the printing was accomplished in December 2021.

7.25 x 11.75 inches, 8 pp. hand-sewn into Fabriano wrappers. Seventy-five copies for sale.
